The Petaluma Community Guild is proud to support our neighbors with the Sebastopol Grange as we welcome the 141st Annual California Grange Convention to Sebastopol this October 9 through 13. The Sebastopol Grange is located at 6000 Sebastopol Road, Sebastopol, about 50 miles north of San Francisco in Sonoma County.
Day one of this event, Wednesday October 9, is Workshop Day and is open to the public at large. There is no charge. The convention opens for official business on Thursday. See below for further information about this event.

This year’s theme will be “Rooted in History… Seeding the Future”.
Highlights include:
Workshop Day.
Wednesday, October 9 is an optional “Workshop Day.”
There will be a variety of interesting and informative workshops along with farm tours during the day.
Everyone is welcome to attend Workshop Day. There is no charge.
The 141st California State Grange Convention officially opens on Thursday, October 10 at 9:00 am.
Important items of business for this convention will include the processing of resolutions beginning on Thursday, and nominations and elections of State Grange Officers beginning on Friday.
Showcase of Grange Artisans.
Thursday, October 10, evening. Celebrating the diverse talents of our members, many entries will be judged live on stage. You can view and download a copy of the Showcase Handbook at the menu on the left or for more information call (916) 454-5805.
Master’s Banquet and Awards Night.
Friday, October 11, evening. A special evening to honor some of our outstanding Granges and Grangers.
Annual Talent and Variety Show.
Saturday, October 12, evening. Performing artists representing Granges from all over the state will compete in our annual Talent Show. After the Talent Show is the “just for fun” Variety Show.
Memorial Service and Veterans’ Tribute.
Sunday, October 13 at 9:00 am. A beautiful service remembering those who have passed and a celebration of those who have served.
Conferral of the Fifth and Sixth Degrees.
Starting at 11:00 am Sunday, October 13. An opportunity for members to raise their levels of achievement in the Grange.
Important items of business
Resolutions must be adopted by your Grange, verified with the Master and Secretary’s signature and with the corporate seal applied be received by the State Grange or postmarked by September 1. After the deadline, resolutions must be approved by the State Master and appropriate Legislative Committee Chair to be accepted.
Lodging, is up to each individual. There will also be camping available.
A meal ticket, will be sold for $75 that will include lunch and dinner at the convention Thursday – Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. Breakfasts are up to the individual.
