Caption: So grateful for these eggs. Yesterday the chickens found a hole in the fence of the garden. They went out exploring and then realized they couldn’t get back as easily. After an hour of chasing and coaxing chickens with treats (and the rooster Willie Dos), we got them all back inside, safe and sound.
We had garden bed fences made to keep them from tearing up the new starts. Now we will need to have the exterior fence fortified. My goal is a beautiful white concrete perimeter wall with gorgeous Bougainvillea growing on top. But we can probably do a corrugated zinc wall for much less cost and effort and create the privacy we desire.
The 5 eggs we got today were very expensive. But it’s more about the chickens eating the zompopos (giant destructive leaf cutter ants), than #fresheggsdaily #functionstacking for the win!
