I took this photo at the most wonderful casita out a near impassable muddy road north east of Matagalpa. The home had an improved kitchen (cocina mejorada) that the owners were very happy to show us. The building was made of mud and wattle. And the wood window had such character. There is such a warmth that comes from natural spaces like this. * * *
