Caption: Chawanmushi – Japanese Egg custard Recipe
I’m coming out of a four day green smoothie and water fast to this lovely soup. I needed to give my system a reset. It was a great way to intensify my keto burn
I sautéd celery, onion, garlic and ginger with a little curry and cumin, two teaspoons of salt and pepper to taste in a couple tablespoons of coconut oil until soft. Set aside.
Prepped a head of nappa (Chinese) cabbage, a large handful of rainbow collars green, several large leaves of Malabar spinach. Added 8 cups of water to sauté in a soup pot. Added all the chopped greens and a couple tablespoons of Braggs Liquid Aminos. No seaweed or gluten free miso here in Nicaragua.
Brought all that to a simmer and added 4 scrambled eggs. Once the eggs set turn off and remove from heat. Serves 6.
